City to test Emergency Sirens Monday

The City of Slaton will be testing the Emergency Outdoor Alert System sirens Monday (April 24) at 7:30 p.m.

They want to emphasize this is only a test, and will be weather permitting.

The sirens may also be tested more than once.

Harvey House Pancake  Breakfast Saturday

The Slaton Harvey House will host its Pancake Breakfast Saturday (April 22) from 8:30-11 a.m.

Donations will be accepted for the meal, and take out is available.

The event is sponsored by the UMC Family Medicine Clinic in Slaton.

Wilson VFD to host Ham, Sausage Dinner Sunday

The Wilson Volunteer Fire Department will hots its annual Ham and Sausage Dinner Sunday (April 23) from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Wilson Independent School District Cafeteria, 1411 Green Ave. in Wilson.

The meal will feature ham and sausage with all the fixings, dessert and drink.

Cost is $15 for adults and $10 for kids.
