Grace Lutheran Church celebrates centennial year

Grace Lutheran Church celebrated its 100th anniversary Sunday (Sept. 24) at the church, 840 W. Jean St.

Mayor Clif Shaw recognized the church’s accomplishments reading a proclamation Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 20) at City Hall, with some members of the church in attendance.

Several members of the church past and present came to attend services Sunday. Among those were current and former pastors Kris Totzke, Delmas Luedke, Michael Holmes and Al Wise, who also participated in the service.

Totzke is a Bishop Associate of the Northern Texas-Northern Louisiana Synod in Dallas, Wise is pastor and hospice chaplain in Lubbock. Luedke and Holmes are retired.

A meal and fellowship were also served.
