Robert Joe “Bobby” Hopper, age 71, of Priddy, Texas, passed away on May 16, 2025, at his home in Priddy.

Bobby was born on April 30, 1954, in Pulaski County, Mo., to Robert D. Hopper and Patsy McCormick. 

He was united in marriage to Paula Maxine Woods on Oct. 2, 1981, in Roswell, N.M. Together, they shared a life rooted in hard work, family and rural values.

A lifelong fence builder by trade, Bobby was known for his dedication to his craft and his strong work ethic. 

He had a deep love for horses and found great joy working cattle alongside his brother-in-law, Renn.

 Those who knew Bobby remember him for his quiet strength, loyalty, and deep ties to his family and community.

He is survived by his brothers, Ronny Hopper, Jerry Hopper and wife Barbara, and their children Misty and Sam, and Joe and Brittney; his sister, Larissa Susan Dorman O’Donnell and husband Renn, and their children Cody, John, and a host of cousins and many cherished friends.

Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Maxine Hopper, and his mother, Patsy Boyd.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Hopper will be laid to rest through direct cremation. 

A private memorial will be held at a later date.
