The Texas Air Museum in Slaton saw an international troupe of youth stop by and visit Tuesday morning (July 22).
The group was part of the Lions Club’s Julian C. Hyer Youth Camp.
Hyer was a judge during the Nuremberg Trials in the 1940s. He created the youth exchange programs to foster peace and understanding around the world.
There are 130 exchange camps worldwide.
This is the only camp in Texas, and campers stayed with a host family last week.
