Rain does not dampen Slaton’s win over Brownfield
Slaton football fans sit under umbrellas and watch as the Tigers played Brownfield Friday evening (Sept. 5) during its home opener. The 7/10ths of an inch of rain during the day lasted through most of the game, fading out about two minutes before the end of the fourth quarter. The Tigers defeated the Cubs 62-7, and will next play New Deal Friday (Sept. 12) at home at 7 p.m. before traveling to Post Sept. 19.
