Lillian Martha Heinrich left this world on Oct. 12, 2025 to be in the arms of her Savior.

She was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.

Born the youngest of 10 children to Henry A. and Ernestine (Kainer) Wimmer, Lillian was raised in a farming family in Hermleigh where she learned love, faith, hard work, independence, competitiveness and the power of prayer.

Lillian attended Hermleigh public schools, where she competed in basketball and volleyball, and then graduated from Draughon’s Business College in Lubbock.

On April 22, 1954, Lillian married Walter O. Heinrich of Slaton in a ceremony at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Lubbock.

They made their home in Slaton and were active in St Joseph Catholic Church, belonging to several organizations within the Church. Lillian became the bookkeeper for Walter’s farming business, a true partner contributing to his success.

They welcomed four children and loved them endlessly.

Lillian and Walter were devoted Slaton Tiger and Tigerette fans, never missing a game where one of their children were involved.

They were also avid Texas Tech Red Raider football and basketball fans.

Lillian and Walter were passionate travelers and were excited to have visited 49 states and several locations abroad with their family and friends.
