Members of the Slaton Chamber of Commerce are invited to attend the annual membership meeting at Business After Hours on Tuesday (Nov. 14) from 5-7 p.m.

Slaton’s new event venue, Tin Top (100 W. Dawson), will host the gathering at its larger building, The Pearl.

On the business end, there will be a review of chamber activities and plans.

Julie Barron, Tin Top’s manager, said fare for the event will include light hors d’oeuvres and a salsa bar. They will also screen the recent Texas Country Reporter episode that spotlighted the Slaton Bakery. The bakery is a partner with Tin Top in its “Say I Do in Slaton” wedding package. The package combines services from Slaton businesses like wedding cakes, invitation design, and the like.

Tin Top includes two different venues – The Pearl, which is a remodeled gin, and The Willow, which is a remodeled barn. The 1930s-era buildings offer a rustic-meets-industrial setup for weddings, parties, and corporate events.
