Lions, Seniors raise funds with burgers

The Slaton Senior Citizens’ Center hosted a successful open house on Saturday (April 21). The event included a luncheon of hamburgers sold by the Slaton Lions Club, a silent auction, a bake sale, raffle, and Bingo.

The Lions Club served 200 burgers, and the event raised $1,926.50 for Meals on Wheels, a local food delivery service for the elderly and disabled run by the senior center.
