Professional drummer to lead band students at SJHS

The house drummer for an historic Lubbock music venue is bringing his talents to Slaton ISD.

Tony Garcia, band member for the Cactus Theater in the Depot District and former teacher at Lubbock ISD, will take over the junior high school music program before the start of the school year, his first as a band director.
