Local pilots turning hobby into global brand

A loose affiliation of friends, based at the Slaton Airport and all lifetime aviation enthusiasts, began producing aviation apparel, which is quickly turning into a global brand.

The Fat Tire Cowboys produce caps, keychains and shirts promoting an aviation lifestyle, and the brand is selling in all parts of the globe.

“We wanted to make an aviation lifestyle brand,” said founder Bryan Rose. “This is the first time it’s been tried.”
