Jamaica Festival bringing a variety of entertainment

Our Lady of Guadalupe Church will host its annual Jamaica Festival Saturday, with a host of bands and entertainment scheduled for its annual fundraiser.

The celebration will kick off with a parade around the square at 10 a.m. The parade will then make its way to the church, where the festival will begin in earnest at  noon at the church.

“It’s our biggest fundraiser for the church,” said the church’s men’s club vice president Benny Lopez. “Last year we made about $25,000 and kept $19,000 after expenses.”
