Slaton ISD schools earn a B from TEA

The Texas Education Agency released letter grades for school districts in Texas last week, and Slaton ISD received an overall grade of B in the new accountability system.

Every campus in the district met standard, with Cathelene Thomas Elementary earning distinction designation in math, comparative academic growth, post-secondary readiness and comparative closing the gaps.

Slaton Junior High School earned distinction science, while Slaton High School earned distinction designations in ELA/reading, science, post-secondary readiness and comparative closing the gaps.
