Sausage Fest and Oktoberfest set for Slaton this weekend

he Slaton St. Joseph Sausage Fest and Oktoberfest is set for this weekend, with a host of activities for visitors of all ages under the big top.

Organizers have installed a large tent to keep the crowd covered in the event of rain.

Sausage sales will kick off the weekend at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Hall on Division Street and will run until 1 p.m.

Regular, jalapeño, and habanero sausage (cured and vacuum sealed) will be sold by the pound at Saint Joseph Hall on October 20, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. All forms of payment accepted.

The Oktoberfest celebration will begin at 3 p.m. and run until midnight.
