Kieth coaching teachers in new SHS role
Stephanie Kieth started out her education career wanting to coach.
She coached high school girls athletics at Post, and is still fulfilling that goal in Slaton, only with a different group to coach — teachers.
Kieth, who was the assistant principal at Slaton Junior High School for the last 3 years, is in her first year as Associate Principal at Slaton High School, with a goal to instill a common instructional language throughout Slaton ISD.
“I’m excited. I love learning new things,” she said. “Murphy (SHS Principal Shaye Murphy) wanted me to come on board working with teachers — taking them out of their comfort zones and taking what we do and making it better.”
