SISD gives Becker extension

The Slaton ISD board of trustees last week extended the contract of Supt. Julee Becker, keeping her at the helm through 2022.

Becker’s evaluation was the top agenda item for the district, and the recommendation came after nearly 90 minutes in closed session.

The original three-year contract was extended by a year, and Becker was given a two-percent raise.
