Quick Energy growth leads them to Slaton
Shawn Quick took a circuitous route to being a Slaton business owner, growing his current company from one hand in a home shop to 16 and a new building in town.
Quick, the owner of Quick Energy Services, attended Slaton schools from 1999-2004 before moving away and graduating from Dora, NM. He moved to the town of Goodland on the Texas-New Mexico border after the death of his father and worked as a farm hand on the weekends. Following the death of his uncle, he drove a milk transport truck out of Portales before resuming farming for a time before taking a job with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a correctional officer.
