Turnovers plague Tigers in loss

Shallowater reeled off 20 straight points in the first quarter en route to a 91-58 win over the Slaton Tigers as the Mustangs continued their unbeaten run in district play, improving to 7-0 in and 16-4 overall, while the Tigers failed to keep the momentum going after last week’s earlier win against Roosevelt.

Slaton Head Coach Stacy Godfrey praised his team for the fight they showed throughout the game but said they must improve their performance early in games and not let teams get out to big leads and then try to play catch up,  something the Tigers have struggled with this season.
