Coach returns to SHS to build basketball foundation

Tiffany Potts came to Slaton to build something.
And after years of looking on at a slew of coaching changes with the girls basketball program, she decided to come back to her alma mater and help bring stability to the program, leaving her job as a principal at Anton.
“It was an opportunity to come home to a program that has a lot of tradition, but needed some stability after going through several coaching changes.” Potts said. “When there is instability it is hard to get kids to buy into a system. These girls were constantly having to make changes to the way they played because of the coaching changes and that can be challenging for anyone.”
