SPD arrests 1 in burglary investigation

The Slaton Police Department needs help in solving a investigation of burglaries and thefts in the area.

Sgt. Steve Dekraker said the Slaton Police Department has been working a joint investigation with the Lubbock Police Department Investigations division over the past few weeks in reference to a string of burglaries and thefts. Several have involved firearms that are believed to have been committed by the same group of people around Lubbock County.

They  found that several of these burglaries were solved and filed resulting in the charges of two people.

Micheal Floyd Anthony, a  49-year-old Slaton resident, was arrested April 25 for an active burglary of a habitation warrant resulting from this investigation.
