SEDCO gets update on transition

The Slaton Economic Development Corporation got an update on what the changes they will need to do in order to become a Type B corporation Thursday afternoon (May 16).

Barbara Hopper, Executive Director, said she had talked to Brian Guyman. He said the first thing they would do is contact the Secretary of State for the existing entity account status.

When Guyman received it, he could follow with a certificate of termination.

She added that it took other groups, such as Muleshoe, five weeks to get said certificate, which will affect when they can start as a Type B Corporation.
