City mourns deaths of Mayor, Commissioner

The City of Slaton lost two members within days of each other.

Mayor D.W. “Dubbin” Englund died Tuesday (May 28)

James A. “Buster” Tucker, Commissioner Ward IV, passed away May 23.

“It is with great sadness that the City of Slaton announces the loss of two long-time city leaders, Mayor D.W. Englund and City Commissioner James “Buster” Tucker,” said City Administrator Mike Lamberson in a statement.
