Rubio named intern at The Slatonite

The Slatonite welcomes Adán Rubio as its summer intern.

He is a junior at Tech University, majoring in journalism and pursuing a minor in general business.

“Working at the Slatonite, I hope to gain more skills in the field of journalism that I can use in my future career. I am grateful for this opportunity to learn and cover events in Slaton,” he said. “I lived in Lubbock all my life with my parents and two older brothers.  Following in my brothers’ footsteps, I started my college journey at South Plains College in Levelland, graduated as a print journalism major and then transferred to Tech.”
