Slaton, Ransom Canyon see decline in sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a decrease in its sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s month totals.

Slaton received $65,860.05 in May, a 5.07 percent decrease from May 2018.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $268,567.85, a 5.49 percent increase from the 2018 year-to-date total of $254,583.37.

Post and Ransom Canyon, saw decreases in May rebates while Buffalo Springs and Wilson saw increases.
