Pink flamingos invade Slaton

Pink flamingos were roosting in front of Mercy Center Monday (June 10). They are part of a fundraiser for The Junior Catholic Daughters at St. Joseph’s. They are using this “flock a yard” to raise funds for 19 young women to go to the State JCDA Convention in Sugarland at the end of June. Those interested in sending the flamingos to people or having them moved can do so for $25, while “no flocking insurance” to keep them off a lawn is $30.
