Local, 17, to show vehicle owned by several family generations at event

Seventeen-year-old Ransom Canyon resident, Riley Wenzel is the proud owner of a 1969 GMC truck. He plans to enter it in  the 24th annual Rock & Roll Nostalgia Car Show and Cruise this Friday and Saturday.

This lovingly cared for light blue truck has never left the family.

His great-grandfather, Winford Shewmake, bought it in 1969. Winford worked in the oil fields and trained race horses. The truck made many trips to the Ruidoso Downs Race Track.
