Slaton citizens and visitors from outside the city viewed antique cars, played games and shopped at local vendors during the city’s 24th annual Rock & Roll Nostalgia Car Show on Saturday (July 20).
A day after watching antique and modern cars cruise through Slaton on Friday (July 19), local car connoisseurs walked around downtown where a variety of cars were being presented.
Chris Alexander, member of the Caprock Corvette Club in Lubbock, brought his 1980 red Corvette with a 350 tuned port fuel-injected engine, which he has had for about a year. He said this car show will be the third car show he has attended.
“I was in the O’Reilly car show, and I was in the Corvette Club car show,” he said.
