Slaton sees increase in August, yearly sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw an increase in its sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s month totals.

Slaton received $69,734.71 in August, a 8.36 percent increase from August 2018.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $425,559.65, a 7.02 percent increase from the 2018 year-to-date total of $397,633.95.

Post and Ransom Canyon saw decreases while Buffalo Springs and Wilson saw increases.
