SPD arrests 1 in car chase from Hamilton

A Mississippi man was arrested Sept. 16 after a car chase that started in Hamilton and ended up in Slaton.

Issac James Massingill, 21, was arrested on charges of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, between four and 200 grams, two charges of Possession of a controlled substance, Penalty Group three less than 28 grams, and Fraudulent Use or Possession of ID Information.

Slaton Police Sergeant Steve Dekraker said Massingill was in a vehicle that was stolen in a burglary in Hamilton.

It was being tracked by GPS and ended in Slaton. Police caught Massingill and arrested him.

He is currently in Lubbock County Jail.
