SISD board approves policies

The Board of Education for Slaton ISD had a relatively light meeting Tuesday (Oct. 8) at the Administration Office.

The board approved HDC Texas in the amount of $2,273,296 for the Career Center and alternative 1B for $256,030 as specified in a bid packet. The project funding will be from a combination of bond and general funds.

They also approved they had reviewed Policies CDA, appointing Superintendent Dr. Julee Broscoff and Art Martin as investment officers. They also designated the TASBO, TASB, Public Trust Advisors and University of North Texas as sources of instruction.

They also approved a motion that SISD will not be required to demonstrate a methodology for supplement and not supplant. This is based off TEA guidance and having one campus per campus category with no grade duplication.
