The Slaton Independent School District Board of Trustees accepted the retirement of Dr. Julee Broscoff during their regular monthly meeting Dec. 12 at the Slaton High School Library.
Broscoff’s retirement will be effective Jan. 30, 2020, subject to terms agreed upon.
She has served the SISD community for 10 years, eight as superintendent, and 32 years in public education.
“I personally believe what we have accomplished here in Slaton ISD over the last 10 years together will continue to grow and flourish,” said Broscoff in a press release announcing her retirement. “I believe every organization can benefit from fresh perspectives and the future will be built on our legacy of success.”
Broscoff will remain available to help with the transition until Aug. 30.
The board will start discussions for their search for a new Superintendent during their next board meeting, Jan. 16.
