Residents receive treat of a winter carriage ride

Residents at the Library of Legacies received a surprise Dec. 19 when  they saw a carriage ride outside their community.

The staff offered carriage rides to the Slaton and Littlefield residents, staff and community through the night.

Michelle Craig, owner of Library of Legacies, said they did this to create an activity residents would enjoy.

“The residents do not get to get out very often and we thought they would love looking at Christmas lights via carriage rides,” she said, adding riders were provided homemade cookies and hot chocolate to enjoy on the ride.

The Littlefield location drove in to bring their residents for the rides.
