Remembering a fallen officer, firefighter

Slatonite gathered along U.S. Hwy. 84 Monday (Jan. 13) to give a final farewell to Lt. Eric Hill of Lubbock Fire Rescue and Lubbock Police Officer Nicholas Reyna as they return from Tarrant County. The two men were killed Jan. 11 while working a series of wrecks from icy conditions on N. I-27. A vehicle struck both men, Reyna died on scene, Hill at the hospital.
