The 2019 cotton harvest has come to a close
New Home completed their ginning the week of Jan. 10.
The others six gins – Slaton Co-op, Acuff-McClung, Texas Star Co-op, Idalou and Lubbock Cotton Growers, finished their seasons earlier this month.
The harvest finished in the Top 10 at number nine, with 386,747 bales ginned.
It took over the 2008 spot of 373,721. It fell short of the eighth spot achieved in 2018 of 439,607.
The current record remains at 631,181, achieved in 2016.
