SEDCO opens business as a Type B

It has taken a few months  since it was approved in the May election, but the Slaton Economic Development Foundation is now officially a Type B Corporation.

The new corporation officially began Thursday (Jan. 16) during SEDCO’s regular monthly meeting.

The City of Slaton approved the bylaws for the new corporation, transfer of assets and the SEDCO budget on Jan. 13, paving the way for the transition the following Thursday.
