Slaton Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Julee Broscoff retired from her post effective today (Jan. 30), after serving 10 years in the District.

The moment also capped more than 30 years in public education.

Broscoff began her career in Lubbock ISD in 1989, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, assistant principal and teaching and learning program director.

She then moved to SISD in 2010, where she was the assistant superintendent until 2012. Broscoff was then hired as superintendent, serving in the position until her retirement.

Broscoff said there were several memories shared with students and their families will stay with her for the rest of her life.

“Seeing our community pull together over and over to support each other!” was one of the many memories she had about her tenure at SISD.
