A fun fight to see who’d win the long sought apron for best chili and desserts was settled Saturday evening (Jan. 25) during Ransom Canyon’s third annual Chili Cookoff.
Teams produced 12 different types of chili, ranging from a “Mooing Lamb” chili to taco chili to even brisket chili. There were also 14 dessert entries.
The winner of the Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice was “Makin’ Chili Great Again,” made by James Hill and Rob Eakin.
Judges selected Penny Golighty’s banana pudding as best dessert, while Harley McWilliams won the People’s Choice.
