Slaton, other cities see decrease in sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a decrease in its’ January sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s totals.

The comparisons reset this month for the 2020 year.

Slaton received $38,939.17 in January, a 7.09 percent decrease from January 2019.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $38,939.17, a  7.09 percent decrease from the 2019 year-to-date total of $41,912.69.
