Needing a haircut, waxing or nails done? If so, one doesn’t need to travel any further than downtown Slaton.

Pretty Please Salon, located at 205 W. Garza St., behind Slaton Bakery, opened up its doors for the first time Friday morning (Jan. 31).

Owner Kaylee Chancellor said she was excited to return to Slaton for the business. She has been self-employed previously, renting out booths at other salons.

This is her first establishment.

“It has always been a goal of mine to have my own salon, since I was in esthetician school, which was about three years ago,” she said. “Being able to open my own shop here has just been a blessing.”
