SPD posting notes on businesses, urges all to help keep town safe

The Slaton PD has taken a bit more time at night to show businesses they care. This is especially true after several have been burglarized in the past few weeks.

Slaton Chief of Police Trevor Barnes  said the night shift officers have recently been going by businesses and checking to ensure the doors were secure.

They have been putting cards on the door fronts, which introduce themselves, the date, time and a note stating they checked the business while the owners were away.
