Spring sports looking to set new records for Slaton High
Basketball season may be finishing up, but the Slaton High School Spring sports teams are gearing up for a new year.
The 2019 Regional Semifinal qualifying Tigerette team had a scrimmage Thursday (Feb. 13) against Dimmitt at home. Both teams bundled up to play in temperatures ranging in the 30s, and the girls played their first home game Tuesday (Feb. 18).
Baseball also had a scrimmage away.
The school’s powerlifting team competed in a meet at home Thursday as well. Boys and girls tried to beat teams from all over the area to lift the most weight.
Track, golf and tennis will start their seasons soon.
