Area cities see sizeable gains in sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a increase in its’ February sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s totals.

The comparisons reset this month for the 2020 year.

Slaton received $73,612.50 in February, a 8.85 percent increase from February 2019.

Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $112,551.67 a  2.75 percent increase from the 2019 year-to-date total of $109,534.14.

Ransom Canyon and Wilson Buffalo Springs and Post saw all saw an increase.
