The State of Texas declared the extension of school closures to at least May 4 last Tuesday (March 31), meaning that many parents and students have to wait until at least the week of April 27 to see if they will even return to the campuses this year.

Slaton Independent School District is still doing all it can to alleviate some of the worries all are facing.

“At Slaton ISD, we recognize that this is a very difficult time our nation’s history for many of our Tiger families,” said Assistant Superintendent Jim Andrus. “Our desire as a school system is to support our families by providing services in unique and creative methods.”
