Johnson named new Athletic Director at SISD

The Slaton Independent School District has announced their new Athletic Director.

Lawrence Johnson will take over the reigns from Jeff Caffey, who tendered his resignation last month.

“I’m just honored and blessed I’ve been given this opportunity to come back to Slaton,” said Johnson, thankful to have the chance to serve in a leadership role.

Johnson is currently employed at Hirschi High School in Wichita Falls as a coach.

He will officially begin his duties at the end of May, as he is still contracted to work at Wichita Falls ISD through the end of the school year.
