The South Plains Food Bank will be hosting a pop-up food pantry Saturday (June 6) from 9-11 a.m. at the Tiger Football Field. Boxes will be limited and distribution will be first come, first served. They will be limited to one item per vehicle.
“We are noticing that in the smaller communities it is harder for the families to get the fresh produce and dairy, when their funds are limited and the need is greater in their home.” Trine Jackson, Director of Agency Services about the event.
There is no eligibility required, but people are asked to be patient with volunteers and staff as they distribute the boxes.
