Spring, summer cleanup to continue through June 13

Those needing to clean out their houses of items to recycle and bring to the City’s center can do so for free and longer hours on some days.

The City of Slaton has opened the recycling center for extended days for the next two weeks, which began Monday (June 1) and will continue through June 13.

Extended times are Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays the center will be open during its regular hours while it will be closed on Sundays.

Tires will still be $2 each for disposal. The City also started adding late fees on utilities again beginning Monday (June 1). Cutoffs for non-payment will resume June 15.
