SEDCO finalizes COVID-19 grant applications

Three local current and incoming businesses: West Texas Fireplaces, Quality DEF Solutions and Humble Grounds are a step closer to receiving grants from the Slaton Economic Development Corporation.

A public hearing on three grants was conducted Thursday (June 18) during the Board’s regular meeting at the SEDCO office.

The hearing was opened up at 11:50 a.m. to allow people to comment on the three grants, which received City Council approval June 8 during its regular Board meeting.

No one spoke on any of the grants and the hearing was closed at noon.

During regular business, SEDCO discussed changes to the performance agreement with Texas 1809 for its grant.

In addition, the Board also discussed what they wanted to include in the grants for West Texas Fireplaces, Quality DEF solutions and Humble Grounds.
