Library to host grand reopening

The Slaton City Library recently opened its doors, and now will host a grand reopening Sept. 12 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the library, 200 W. Lynn St.

The event will feature books, free food and activities for the children in celebration of the

library’s reopening.

Sandra Thomas will be the special guest reader, and free books will be distributed.

Snowcones will also be sold, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit the library.

The first 100 children to visit that day will receive a gift.

Those attending are asked to still follow COVID-19 guidelines by practicing social distancing and wearing a mask.
