SEDCO to begin expanding conference room

The Slaton Economic Development Corporation voted to approve a contract for &Sons to expand a conference room Thursday afternoon (Oct. 15) during the Board’s regular monthly meeting.

Barbara Hopper, Executive Director, said the company, owned by Eric Hybner, was the only one to submit an application for the construction. She added the references she received from all were positive for the business’ work.

The new room would be the spot temporarily occupied by the Slaton Family Medical Clinic in 2019 after the Klemke Sausage Haus fire destroyed both buildings.

Among construction includes minor remodeling to expand the rooms and changing flooring and wallpaper.
