Slaton again sees slight drop in sales tax rebates

The City of Slaton saw a decrease in its October sales tax rebate compared to the previous year’s totals.

Slaton received $50,450.98 in October, a 0.91 percent decrease from October 2019. Year-to-date, Slaton has received rebates totaling $550,130.81, a 4.17 percent increase from the 2019 year-to-date total of $528,099.72.

Ransom Canyon, Buffalo Springs and Wilson saw an increase, while Post saw a  decrease.
