Slaton ISD shifts again to virtual learning

The Slaton Independent School District has again shifted to virtual instruction due to increased COVID cases.

The District is off the full week this week for Thanksgiving break.

Stephen F. Austin Primary and Cathelene Thomas Elementary will resume classes in person Monday (Nov. 30).

Slaton Junior High and High School will have a second week of virtual learning and are tenatively set to return to in person learning Dec. 7.

At press time Tuesday, there have been a total of 36 confirmed cases and 105 recovered cases in the School District. Not all students are Slaton residents; however all individuals who may have come in contact with an individual with COVID have been contacted.
